The origin of screen printing and how to protect life

Silk screen printing originated in China for more than 2,000 years. As early as the Qin and Han dynasties in ancient China, the pinch printing method appeared. By the Eastern Han Dynasty, the batik batik method had become popular, and the level of printed products had also improved. During the great cause of the Sui Dynasty, people began to print with a frame stretched with a silk screen, so that the folder printing process developed into screen printing. According to historical records, the fine clothing worn in the court of the Tang Dynasty was printed in this way. In the Song Dynasty, screen printing has developed, and the original oil-based coatings were improved. Starch rubber powder was added to the dye to make it paste for screen printing, making the screen printing products more colorful.

There are two types of screen printing, namely manual printing and mechanical printing. Manual printing refers to the movement of the printing plate up and down from the continuous paper to the delivery, and the scraping and printing are all manual operations. Mechanical printing means that the printing process is completed by mechanical action. Which is divided into semi-automatic and full-automatic printing, semi-automatic means that the substrate is put in and taken out by manual operation, printing is done by machinery.

Screen printing is now applied to many industries such as glass manufacturing, textile weaving, and t-shirt manufacturing. So many friends will also ask how to make it last longer?

1. Since the mesh is glued to the frame by glue (whether it is a wooden frame or a metal frame), the angle of the screen frame should be sealed before using the screen. Generally, plate-making companies will apply one. Layers of glue are either sealed with glue; prevent ink or other solvents from penetrating into the net to cause it to loosen or fall off.

2. When using the screen version, you should keep the screen distance, as everyone knows. At this time, the pressure of the printing scrape should not be too heavy; at the same time, the distance between the ink return sheet and the screen should not be close to prevent friction, which will cause the photosensitive paste to become thin.

The length of the squeegee should be slightly larger than the pattern, generally 15-20mm, the blade edge of the squeegee should not be too profitable; paste a layer of adhesive paper at the position where the blade edge of the squeegee contacts the screen to prevent its wear.
