What are the requirements for screen printing?

Screen printing mesh is an important means to achieve printing. Screen selection and preparation are very important. So what are the scientific specifications for wire mesh?

Is divided into the following 5 points.

1. The silk screen should have a certain strength to meet the tension requirements during stretching and printing.

2. High wear resistance. The screen should have a certain abrasion resistance to ensure that the screen printing plate has a high printing resistance (the screen with high abrasion resistance can be recycled and reused)

3. Since the silk should be exposed to water during printing and plate making, it is required that the shrinkage and elongation of the silk screen should be small when it meets water.

4. The surface of the screen wire should be smoother to reduce the phenomenon of blocking the mesh during the printing process.

5. The size of the screen mesh should be uniform to ensure uniform ink leakage. 6. Strong solvent resistance, the physical properties of the wire mesh should remain unchanged after contact with the solvent.

Requirements that need to be remembered: The screen printing plate has the following basic requirements for the original:

1 Monochrome (text, line) originals must have sufficient contrast.

2 Continuous adjustment of the contrast of the original should meet the basic requirements of photo-engraving.

3 The clarity of the original should be high.

4 Color continuous adjustment of the color of the original should meet the basic color requirements of the printed copy.
