Screen printing mesh printing grid and problem solving

Some people are still unfamiliar with the process of screen printing. In the screen printing mesh printing process, the number of screens can be determined by experienced printers. The grid size is measured by how many threads per square inch. For example, a 86 mesh screen has 86 threads per square inch. The larger the number of meshes, the finer the holes on the screen and the finer the details, but it also reduces the amount of ink that can be deposited. The size of the grid has a lot to do with the thickness of the ink you use. In the grid count selection, the level of detail of the image is also a consideration.

If your design has extremely high detail, the lower grid screen will not preserve the thin lines or dots in the image, and they will not be displayed resulting in missing detail in the finished product. On the other hand, if you try to print a thicker ink (such as white) through a screen that is too high, almost no ink will print through the grid because the holes are too small. You may notice that the sizes of different companies are slightly different. If the number of grids is fairly close, such as 156 vs 160, 196 vs 200 or 81 vs 86, the difference is small and irrelevant because you won't find significant differences in the final product.

Possible cause 1: Dust is trapped in the mesh.

Remedy:


Always rinse the mesh instead of passing it.

Filter the rinse water.

Possible Cause 2: Grid preparation if not enough.

Remedy:

Degreasing can be done with CPS Mesh Prep.

Degreasing can be concentrated using a CPS degreaser.

Possible cause 3: Dirty dust appeared between the grid and the film.

Remedy:

To be cleaned in time, it is guaranteed to be dust-free for printing.
