Techical Parameters Of Polyestwe Printing Mesh

Polyester printing mesh is widely used in printing industries, it has the following parameters.

1.Mesh count: Mesh count per cm or inch

2.The wire diameter is the diameter of the woven wire mesh, which is value measured by the production plant at the screen projection plane. Usually denoted by d, the unit is: Micron (μm)

3.Opening: Measured in the space between two adjacent radial lines (or wefts) of the screen, usually denoted by W, in micrometers.

The mesh opening determines the maximum size of the ink particles in the screen printing. In order to fully penetrate the ink, the average particle size of the ink must be less than 1/3 of the mesh.

Screen mesh opening affects the following:

Line or dot printing reproducibility

Ink permeability

Printing ink thickness

4, open area (also known as open area percentage)

The polyester printing mesh with an opening area of 35% means that the opening area per unit area is 35%. Covered by the diameter of the wire, the area of closed, impermeable ink is 65%. The opening area can be used to calculate the theoretical change in ink volume.

5, screen thickness: refers to the vertical distance from the surface of the screen to the lower surface. Usually denoted by D, unit micro

Meter. It affects the over-ink performance of the screen and the amount of ink on the screen.

6, woven structure: refers to the weaving method of the screen. the weaving method is often divided into: plain weave (use PW

Representation) and Twill Weave (represented by TW)

Plain weave is made by alternately pressing a radial line and a weft thread, and its structure is 1:1.

Twill weaving is made up of 1:2 or 2:2 or 3:3 alternating by the radial and the weft.

7, the color of the screen. It is very important for making high-quality and high-precision screens.

Usually the color of the screen is: white and yellow.

When it is exposed to light, the white screen will produce reflections and diffuse reflections, which will cause the resolution and sharpness of the graphic and text to decrease. In severe cases, the fine lines will not be completely developed.

The yellow screen is selected, only yellow is reflected, no effect on the photosensitive layer, can produce clear images and thin-diameter levels, and can produce high-resolution reel version. Of course, the yellow screen exposure time is about 75% longer than the corresponding white screen.

8, the maximum tension of the screen: refers to the maximum tensile force that the screen can resist. Exceeding this tension, the screen will break or deform plastically from elastic deformation, losing its elasticity. Therefore, when stretching the net, the tension must not exceed the maximum tension of the screen.
