How to choose printing mesh?

How to choose printing mesh?

There are a wide variety of printing species in the process of screen printing, printing materials also have according characteristics. Usually in the selection of printing mesh, we can be based on the substrate material. For example, when the substrate is clothes, scarves, ties, schoolbags, etc., nylon printing mesh can be chosen as printing mesh; When the substrate is postcard, wallpaper, calendar, etc., thick nylon printing mesh is better. Therefore, we would like to tell you several tips in the process of printing mesh selection.

① The weaving is uneven. There would be many problem, including the spacing between the silk and the other is uneven, which results in a change in aperture and affect the transfer of printing ink, the ink film thickness will be different. If the problem as above are only locally, we should avoid this part in the process of printing, so as to not affect the quality pf printing. Jumping wire refers to a piece of wire is broken in the the process of weaving, forming a state of several centimeters of shedding, it can not be found if you are not careful, which will also affect the printing quality.

② The wire diameter is uneven. The printing mesh is oven from wire. It is generally believed that the wire diameter are almost same, but it is not ture. Because of the problem as above, some part of mesh would be thinner or thicker, which cause the phenomenon of the uneven ink thickness.

③ The silk surface is not smooth. Polyester monofilament is made by a spray nozzle, which produces a relatively smooth and uniform surface of the silk. The two properties of silk and silk printing are diameter (D) and strength. The diameter (D) of the wire determines the thickness of the screen (Ft). If the silk is polyester, the thickness of the silk is 2D or less (approximately 1.8d). Screen thickness is one of the decisive factors of ink film thickness. The strength of a single wire is determined by its tensile strength and diameter. Yet the strength of the printing mesh is determined by the strength of the wire and the number of printing mesh wires per unit length.

④ The ease with ink passes through the printing mesh. It is usually that we would like to consider this problem when selecting the printing mesh. When it comes to middle tonality ,the high transparent inkis better, the pigment particles are relatively fine, this kind of ink can also through well large mesh count printing mesh. General the plastic ink usually through the printing mesh better. Special purpose ink, pigment high concentration ink, although particles of ink is fine, but its passing ability are relatively poor.

⑤ The roughness of the the substrate surface. When the surface of the substrate is rough, we generally use a lower mesh screen. Such as leather, canvas, foamed sheet, wood printing, etc.Because the surface of the substrate is rough, strong ink absorbance, to ensure enough ink through the lower number of mesh screen.

⑥ Select the screen according to the fine line of the original text. Contrary to the above situation, in general fine lines to select high printing mesh.

⑦Choose screen also consider the cost.Meet the cost. On the premise of meeting the printing requirements, choose to use the lower price of the screen as far as possible.
